Julie is a Writers Guild Award nominee with experience in television, film, and game-writing, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute.

She was nominated for a WGA award for “Have Your Cake,” an episode of NBC’s half-hour, single camera series, Just Deal, on which she worked as Executive Story Editor and Staff Writer for all three seasons.

Her academic research paper, “Effects of Early Peer Rejection on Development in Adolescence and Early Adulthood” was published (2006) in Progress: Family Systems Research and Therapy. Drawing upon her creative experience and knowledge of psychology, Julie works as a freelance consultant for game developers. Past projects include Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Story (Episode 1, 2, 3), and Serenity Forge’s Homestead Arcana, on which she served as casting and voice director as well. In 2019, Julie co-presented a talk at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) on “Collaborative Approaches to Getting Great VO Performances.”

Currently, Julie works in a writing partnership with actress Natalie Zea; they are represented as a team by UTA (Echo Matthews) and currently have a comedy series in development.
